How to stop page shooting to top of screen when button is clicked?

Awesome plugin so far 🙂 Just one thing bugging me is that when you click on the search button, the current page goes to the top before loading the search results. Is this normal behaviour or could this be a theme conflict?

If it is supposed to behave like this, I feel like it kind of breaks the user journey a bit – even though it’s only a split second I find it’s confusing! Is there any way to have the page not move when the button is clicked? My site has the search in a sticky nav bar by the way, so if you decide to search something when you’re halfway down the page that’s when it’s confusing.
