Hello!
I have 2 questions:
I have my Ivory Search set to to be in my header menu, and set to pop-up.
When I click the search Icon, the plugin darkens the screen and displays the search field as expected. I can type in my search term, and the Ajax results appear. When I click on any of the Ajax search results, the page in the background changes to the correct link associated with the Ajax result, but the pop-up Ivory Search bar does not disappear. Is there a setting I’m missing?
Also, I’m curious if Ivory Search can accomplish the look of the apple.com search (search is in the header menu, and when the search icon is clicked, the search field moves to the center of the menu, and darkens the page. See apple . com and test it out.
Thanks for the fantastic plug-in!

In addition, I’m finding that if I set Ivory Search to “pop-up”, extra white space is added at the top of my page. It appears it’s this (and see attachment for picture of white space and Inspector code)
I can’t post the code here, as your security setting don’t appear to allow it – I hope the pictures are enough!
Thanks again.
Edit: This last part is solved: Ivory Search – Settings – Header Search – Set to “None” seems to get rid of it. If you have any input on the first 2 questions, I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

I hope you are well today and thank you for your questions.

I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using the latest version of the Ivory Search plugin.
Could you please share your site URL where it’s happening so that I can troubleshoot it?

Yes, you can achieve this by developing custom code.
Developing custom code for custom functionality is beyond the scope of support that I provide here.
If you are not a developer then you can consider hiring a developer to develop it for you. You can hire a developer from any freelance site or WordPress agency.
You can also consider us to develop it for you using the form https://ivorysearch.com/custom-work/
Best regards,

I visited your shared website and tested it.
It worked fine for me as shown in the attached screenshots.
Could you please test it clearing your browser cache and using a different browser?

Hello!
Thanks for testing.
I’ve tried in Chrome and Safari, and emptied the cache(s) and deleted my history. The issue seems to be persistent if I’m on a page other than the home page.
Take this episode for example: http://staging.5thingsseries.com/episode/building-a-hackintosh/
If I click the search icon, and type in a search term, and click an AJAX result, the background remains darkened, but the page loads behind it.
Can you kindly try it?
Thanks!

I tested it on your shared page but the search is not working on it.
I checked the browser console and saw the below message in it.
http://staging.5thingsseries.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 403 (Forbidden) Forbidden AJAX request aborted
It was working earlier fine for me on your website.
Could you please make sure that it is working fine?

I’ve been making changes this morning, but I’ll pause so you can test. Thanks!

The issue is resolved in the latest released plugin version 4.5.7 so please update the plugin to the latest version on your website.

You are always welcome, I’m glad I was able to help you with this matter. There is no obligation but by your kind words I wonder if I could trouble you to leave a review based on this experience here:

I’d really appreciate that. 🙂
And if I can be of any further assistance please don’t hesitate to ask.

@tarique-alam To help us keep the support thread separated could you please create your own thread for your question instead of posting a reply on others’ thread as it makes the thread messy and hard to read.
If you want to you can also add a reference to this thread in your newly created thread.
We would be more than happy to help you with your new thread.
