Hi, how can I make sure the search results stop showing the excerpts and title of related posts as part of the content of the page they are shown on?

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
Could you please share the page URL from your site where it is displaying so that I can help you?
Best regards,

why do you need the page url?
- November 16, 2020 at 11:35 AM #6387
Because it is a website and theme specific.

Hi there, I answered but somehow it was lost…..
Anyway, I use WP Ocean and Elementor.
And just found out that the search results show the next/previous links (not the related posts).
Is there a way to exclude certain items -such as links- form the search results? - November 16, 2020 at 8:54 PM #6390
Could you please either share the page URL or the screenshot of the page where it is happening so that I can better understand it?

Thank you for sharing the screenshots.
The search results page is displayed by the search.php file of the theme that you are using on your site so the plugin doesn’t control how the pages and its text will be displayed on the search results page but your site theme controls it so please contact the theme support regarding this.

But I use the menu search from Ivory search…….
- November 17, 2020 at 10:37 PM #6410
…. and when I use the Ivory search form I have installed on another page, the same thing happens
- November 18, 2020 at 4:35 PM #6411
The Ivory Search plugin only displays the search form and not the search results page that is displayed by the theme you are using on your website so please contact your theme support to resolve it.

Sorry, I don’t understand. I am talking about the search results and not about the layout.
- November 19, 2020 at 11:48 AM #6419
The next/previous links are part of the layout and not the search results.
You can confirm this by temporarily using the Twenty Twenty theme on your site.

I still don’t understand what you are trying to say.
Please explain yourself. The next/previous links are part of the layout and not the search results. Why are they in the search results?
- November 21, 2020 at 2:38 PM #6441
They are not in the search results but in the layout of the search results page.
If you still don’t understand it then please deactivate the Ivory Search plugin and see whether you see them in the search results page.

Hi there,
thanks. So, there is no way to override the layout of the search results with Ivory Search?
- November 23, 2020 at 9:42 AM #6450
There is no way to do it using the Ivory Search plugin as it is displayed by the theme search.php template file.
