Dear Sir,
When doing woocommerce product search, the query string shows “product_type=product”.
How can I change the query string to “product_type=products”?
Thanks for your help.

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
You can achieve this by developing a custom code.
If you are not a developer, you can consider hiring a developer to develop it. You can hire a developer from any freelance site or WordPress agency.
You can also consider hiring me to develop it for you using the form https://ivorysearch.com/custom-work/
Best regards,

You can just remove the post type added by the Ivory Search plugin by enabling the search form option as shown in the attached screenshot and then add a new post type by developing a custom code.
You don’t need to use any Ivory Search plugin hook or modify its files.

Dear Sir
Thanks for your kind feedback. However, what you suggested is not workable in my case, as I use Elementor to design the search result page template which can be applied only when the search form of ivory search plugin would generate query string with “post-type=xxx” in url.
As attached below two pictures, when setting the search form applied post type in ivory plugin at website backend, it says “products”. But why in the fronted using the search form, the url query string of “post-type=xxx” generated shows “product” instead?
PS: My Elementor search result page template works fine with the query string of “product-type=products”. It will not be applied when it is “product” or no post type query string in the url.
I wonder if you can advise how to revise the query string generated by ivory search form of “post-type=xxx” section can just show what it was set inthe backend as “products”?
Thanks for your kind support.

It is not a solution I have said in my previous reply that You can just remove the post type added by the Ivory Search plugin by enabling the search form option as shown in the previously shared screenshot and then add a new post type by developing a custom code.
