Hi!
Thanks for this great plugin! I seem to have a small problem with it though: when I perform a search, but do not click on one of the found results, but instead click on a menu item, the
?highlight=searchterm
parameter is added after the link. So, for example: I perform a search for ‘recipe’. Some results are found, but I do not click any of them. Instead, I click on a menu-item – let’s say ‘About me’, that menu link is changed into
/about/?highlight=recipe
.This seems to happen only to menu items that are not a custom link. Custom links seem to be unaffected by this behaviour.
Is there a settings I seem to have overlooked or did I find a bug?
Best regards,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
This can be theme issue used on your site so to confirm it just temporary use the Twenty Seventeen theme on your site. If everything works fine then it’s your site theme issue.
Also, this can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins except Ivory Search plugin and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.
Best regards,

Hi,
Thanks for your answer. Today I temporarily activated the Twenty Nineteen theme and experienced the same behaviour. So, we can rule out the current theme as the culprit. This weekend I will test it with plugins deactivated.
Thanks so far. I’ll keep you updated.
Best,
