I reviewed the support discussions because we were having a long lag time getting to the Search Results Page. We have less than 500 products on the store. One suggestions was to switch from the Default WordPress Search Engine to the Inverted Indexed Search Engine.
While this helped improve the speed for the Search Results Page, the Dropdown menu doesn’t work. We need both to work properly. Any help is appreciated.

I hope you are well today and thanks for posting here.
Could you please share the page URL from your site where the dropdown menu is not working so I can troubleshoot it?
Best regards,

URL you can test with is https://test.servicenow-companystore.com/
I’ve tested in various browsers, and on other website, and it’s the same issue. I’ve attached a screen recording showing how it works with the Default WordPress Search Engine, and then how it works with the Indexed Search Engine.

Video attachment didn’t work. Here is a link to the screen recording: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DL4CvOtryaxA2RrNuJ3e4rSo3fS3skIK/view?usp=drive_link

I saw this happening because of the “500 Internal Server Error” shown in the attached screenshot.
This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporarily deactivating all plugins except the Ivory Search plugin and see whether everything works fine, and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.
Also, this can be a theme issue on your site, so to confirm it, just temporarily use the Twenty Twenty-Four theme on your site. If everything works fine, then it’s your site theme issue.
