I need help building an Ivory search that can search PDF’s that are linked on specific pages.
We run a site that is used by judges and lawyers to look up a wide variety of legal documents. We need to build a search function that looks for keywords in PDF’s that are linked to only in certain pages. The legal team in charge of maintaining these documents has been getting calls from judges/lawyers saying it is difficult to find things on the site. Currently we have refined the search to only search the pages that link to the relevant PDF’s, but not the PDF’s themselves.
Example: Judge search’s “livestock” because someone violated the rules and regs. Every page mentioning livestock pulls up but judge only cares about the PDF that lists the rules and regs. This infuriates judge because judge doesn’t get what they need. Our legal department gets call from judge saying our site is hard to use and we need to fix it.
Is it possible to make Ivory search the PDF’s? How can this be achieved?

The plugin searches the PDF files uploaded in the WordPress library by their title, caption, and description.
Currently, the Ivory Search plugin does not search PDF file content but I will consider implementing it in the future version of the plugin.

Do you know of a plugin that could search PDF Content?
Can Ivory search HTML file content?Would we also be able to focus on a specific directory?
E.G., /home/domains/ example.com/ docs/ parts/I have been told there is a html file for every pdf file so searching the html file content would be a possible solution. (See attached)
