Hi,
We use Ivory Search Premium and Google Analytics 4. What I can see in GA4 is the amount of times people used the searchfunction on our website. However, I cannot see what words they used in their search. And I need this to know what they are looking for, so I can update my website.
How can I see what people searched for?
Kind regards,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
You have to enable Search Analytics in the plugin settings and follow the instructions provided on the page as shown in the attached screenshot.
Best regards,

Hi Ivory Search,
Sorry, I should have said it in my previous post, we already enabled the plugin. However, I don’t understand where in GA4 the instructions provided should be entered. There is no place (I can find) that is in line with the instructions.
As you can see in the screenshot in the first post > we measure the counts, but not the ‘words’ that are entered. And I also want to measure the words. What settings should we change, on the plugin side, and/or the GA4 side?
Hopefully you can help us out!
Best wishes,

You don’t need to configure anything else.
Just go to the main dashboard for your website’s Google Analytics. Click on “Events” under “Behavior” in the left-hand sidebar as shown in the attached screenshot.

Thanks for you reply. However, this is a screenshot of Google Analytics Universal. I’m talking about Google Analytics 4. And I measure the counts that the searches on site are done, but I CANNOT see what they typed in, so what did they searched for. In the old Google Analytics Universal, we could also see the words people used in the search bar. Now I cannot see this in GA4.

screenshot to see that the searches are measured, but only the number of times it is used (counts > quantity data)

And in this screenshot you see what data is shown within the Ivory Search-event. However, again we only see the number of times someone used the search bar. We can see from which country the users are. But I CANNOT see what they were searching for.
