Hi
We recently purchased Ivory Search to enhance the search experience in our upcoming new websites, and while the AJAX search results work great, if you press the search button and go to the search results page none of the settings seem to affect it (sorting, highlighting…) and the results are completely different from the AJAX window.
The websites are built on Themify Builder Pro on top of WordPress, but even if we turn the themify builder off for that page and revert to the default WordPress search results page it still seems unaffected by the plugin.
You can see this on one of our staging sites here: http://******.***-****.co.uk
Thanks in advance for your help
Juan

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
I could confirm the issue on your shared website.
Are you using any other search plugin that may conflict with the Ivory Search plugin functionality?
If yes then please try deactivating that plugin.
This can be a theme issue used on your site so to confirm it just temporarily use the Twenty Twenty theme on your site. If everything works fine then it’s your site theme issue.
Would you mind if I log in to your staging site and do quick troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please temporarily create an admin user account and share me the account login details privately by checking the option “Set as private reply” when replying to this topic?
Best regards,

Hi
Thanks for your reply
We are not using any other search plugins. Unfortunately, I cannot test with another theme since it all requires the themify builder framework and when I swap themes it just returns fatal errors because the framework is not there.
I can certainly let you log in and have a look. I will get that sorted for you on Monday if that is ok.
Thanks

Ok
If you have any staging website that is a replica of your live website then we can also use it to troubleshoot the issue.

Did you manage to log in and have a look with the details I sent you?
Thanks

I logged into your website and troubleshoot the issue.
The issue is occurring because of the Themify Builder Pro plugin that you are using on your website as the search works fine if we deactivate the plugin.
Could you please contact the Themify Builder Pro plugin support to resolve the issue?

juangordo,
I also am trying to get Ivory Search to work with Themify with no success. The search results simply present every match to the search string, instead of applying the includes and excludes of Ivory Search. It’s pretty frustrating to hear that the Themify Builder Pro plugin is causing the problem. Did you reach out to Themify? If so, what did they say? I plan to write to them today, but need to know what you’ve learned so far. Thanks so much,
David

Update: I just deactivated the Themify Builder plugin, and my problem with Ivory Search results persists. I have also deactivated my two other search plugins, which happen to be: 1) WP AutoSearch and 2) PTB Search (by Themify).
Here is a simple search page, where I have set Ivory Search to include just Pages (not Posts or other custom post types), and to limit the results to 5. Enter “kokanee” on this page and view the results:
As you see, you get 12 results, and the results include Posts and a custom post type called “Curriculum-Docs”. Whether I disable the Themify Builder plugin or not, I get these same results.
I am very happy to purchase the paid version of Ivory Search for our site. I just need to ensure that it will work. 🙂
Thank you so much for whatever help you can provide.
My best,
David

To help us keep the support thread separates could you please create your own thread here https://ivorysearch.com/support/ for your question instead of posting a reply on others thread as it makes the thread messy and hard to read.
If you want to you can also add a reference to this thread in your newly created thread.
We would be more than happy to help you with your new thread.

I have edited the URL that you have added in your initial reply.
