What settings are required to make sure that if a person were to search “Feb 22, 2017” it doesn’t show posts that include “Feb 2, 1997,” “Feb 2, 2017,” etc. I’ve tried multiple configurations but it hasn’t worked. I’m assuming this requires a paid sub? If so what would the settings be should I choose to upgrade?

Hi Jeff,
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
Do you want to allow users to search posts of specific dates?
If yes then you can achieve it by configuring search form Date settings as shown in the attached screenshots.
Best regards,

Hi thanks for you response. To confirm, this wouldn’t be a search for pages or posts that were published on a specific date. We have an archive of content that we update each week. Each page contains 10 segments (yellow bars as you see in the screenshot) and we’ve been adding to it since 2015. We manually add dates to the title of each segment.
I have attached a screenshot example. So the content a person would be searching would only include content from these pages. The problem I’m seeing is that when they search for a date such as “Sept 22, 2017” that also generates the pages in the search that include “Sept 22, 2016,” “Sept 2, 2016” etc. It seems to be grabbing any part of the date instead of the actual search inquiry which is generating more results than it should.
Thoughts?

So the screenshot I sent you is just one page of content. There are a total of 13 pages like this, and each page has it’s own set of dates.

Sorry for all the messages but I forgot one other thing. The segments are not just title only anymore either. Since the end of 2017 we’ve been adding text along with the date as well. So “Dec 2, 2017 – This is a test title.” So I can’t simply set Fuzzy Matching to “whole.” as a user may only type in a part of the title using the date or keywords.

Could you please share me the page URL from your site where it is displaying so that I can better understand it and help you to achieve it?

Thank you for your detailed video.
Have you tried configuring search form as shown in the attached screenshot?
If yes then what’s the result you are getting?
Also please try using following combinations of options.
OR – Display content having any of the searched terms.
Whole – Search posts that include the whole search term.Attachments:

Ok got it! The problem I was facing was some of the older content had the month written out entirely (such as September), and newer posts started to be abbreviated a year later (such as Sept). Thanks for the help.

Awesome great to see you got that resolved.
Please advise if you have more questions.
Have a fantastic day!
