Hello
I would like to add a search bar into my main menu across the top of the site. At the moment it appears in a wide bar across the top of the header and I’m not able to assign it to a menu as those settings don’t appear in the admin area – please see attached screenshot. I would also like to be able to style to search bar if I can to make it fit in with the look of the site but those setting options also don’t appear. This is a test site at http://www.somethingchronic.org.uk/ – to view it please use this word Entrand0s1 – to log in.
Many thanksAttachments:

Sorry to hear about the problem you are having.
The header and menu search forms are different search forms and display in different locations.
It seems currently only the header search form is displaying on your website and not menu search form or menu search form settings.
I have tested it on my test site and the menu search form is working fine for me using the latest version of the Ivory Search plugin.
Could you please tell me how you are displaying the menu on your website?
If you are not sure then would you mind if I log in to your site and do quick troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please temporarily create an admin user account and share me the account log in details privately by checking the option “Set as private reply” when replying to this topic?
Best regards,

Thank you for sharing the site credentials but the credentials are not working on your website and I am getting an error that the password is incorrect.
Please make sure that the shared credentials are correct and working fine.

I logged into your website and troubleshoot the issue.
I have resolved the issue in the plugin which will be released soon.
In the meanwhile, I have resolved the issue on your website by making changes in the plugin code.
Could you please confirm it?

Hello
Many thanks for doing this. Yes, I can now see the option to add search bar to the menu has appeared and there is a search bar there now. Unfortunately, there are still some problems, as although I now have the option to add the search bar to the menu, I don’t appear to have any of the options around styling this which I think are usually in this settings area – please see the attached screenshot.
I also still have a search bar appearing across the header as well as in the main menu and I don’t know if there’s a way to remove that.Another very big problem is that there is now a problem with the slider on the home page, which was set up and working fine with a series of jewellery images. Now as you’ll see this has changed to just say ‘Slideshow sample #1 etc…’ I’m not sure why your work on the search plugin has affected the slideshow plugin – it is something of a headache and do please let me know your thoughts.
Many thanks

A quick update on one part of this, which is that I realised I could change the setting in Header Search from Default Search Form to None and this has removed the search bar that I originally had in the header area.
Great to have the bar in the menu now and just need tips on getting the styling in. Also, this is a test website – I wanted to try the plugin before using on main site. As you’ve made changes to the code, will this apply to the plugin if I then download and install it at the main website? Thanks again. - June 24, 2020 at 9:06 PM #5065
I have released the plugin version 4.4.13 so please update the plugin on your website and let me know how it works for you.

Great, thanks
I have updated the plugin and can now see more settings for styling etc. This means I now have a search icon in the menu bar but unfortunately when I click on it nothing happens – it seems to be a broken link in some way.
As a reminder the test site I’m working on is at http://www.somethingchronic.org.uk/
Thanks

It seems not working because of Javascript error occurring on your website.
The crossslide plugin is loading an older version of the jQuery library causing this issue as shown in the attached screenshots.
Please contact the crossslide plugin support to resolve the issue.

Thank you – this is very helpful. Both the theme and the Cross Slide plugin are quite old now and this may be part of the problem in terms of issues cropping up. I will look into this further and will mark this topic as closed now. All best
