We are using your plugin to search an ACF field on a Custom Post Type. We are finding that as we create new posts, and search for the exact text contained in the ACF field, the plugin is returning the “Nothing Found’ text configured in the Ajax Search Result section.

We do have caching enabled on the site – will that affect the results? If so, is there a way to bypass the cache for your plugin if this is an issue?

I’ve triple checked that we are searching only the ACF field with the content we need in the custom search form – I’m stumped why it isn’t returning the expected content.

      Thanks in advance!

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You need to configure the search form shown in the attached screenshot to search custom fields and return the posts of the matched custom fields.

No, the cache shouldn’t affect the search, but you can test it by temporarily deactivating it.

      Best regards,
      Ivory Search Support

Sorry for not including that in my initial post. We already have the custom field specified, but it is not finding the posts.

Have you added the “ek_customer_event_code” custom field to the “Exhibitor Kit Downloads” custom post type?

If yes, please share the page URL from your site where it is displaying.

Also, Could you please share the page URL from your site where the search bar displays so I can troubleshoot it?

The CPT does have the custom post (see attachments for ACF and CPT screenshots).

You can test the search using the example from the screenshots, 357481, at https://artcraftdisplay.com/exhibitor-kit/

Just wanted to check that I provided enough detail for you to troubleshoot?

Could you please temporarily use the “Default WordPress Search Engine” instead of “Inverted Index Search Engine” in the Options of the search form to know whether it works fine?

If you are still facing the issue then would you mind if I log in to your site and do a quick troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please temporarily create an admin user account and share the account login details privately by checking the option “Set as private reply” when replying to this topic?

Changing to the Default WordPress Search Engine resolved the issue. Thanks for the help.
