Is it possible to not show shortcodes on the search results?
- November 20, 2019 at 8:23 PM #3394
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
Do you mean on the search results page without using the AJAX?
If yes then I want to tell you that the search results page is displayed by the search.php file of the theme that you are using on your site so the plugin doesn’t control how the text and shortcodes will be displayed on the search results page but your site theme controls it.
You can change this developing custom code in the search.php file of your child theme by contacting the theme author or consider hiring a developer to develop it for you. You can hire a developer from any freelance site or WordPress agency.
You can also consider hiring us to develop it for you using the form https://ivorysearch.com/custom-work/
Best regards,

Then the shortcodes are not displayed If you configured the search form to display excerpt.
Could you please share the page URL from your site where the search form is displaying so that I can help you?

Please make sure that you have selected the Excerpt option in the search form AJAX settings as shown in the attached screenshot.

I did the update but I got the same result… is there a purge or reindex that I need to do? I couldn´t find it.

I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using the latest version of Ivory Search as displayed in the attached screenshot.
Could you please try clearing and temporarily deactivating the cache that you are using on your website?
If still the issue persists then would you mind if I log in to your site and do some troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please temporary share your site log in detail privately by checking the option “Set as private reply” when replying to this topic?
