      Hello,

I have a multilingual website available in English and Italian, and I’ve read that Ivory search is compatible with WPML.

Therefore, I created a form to search only within specific taxonomy terms. However, when I select terms, it appears that the form cannot associate the terms with the secondary language.

For example, I have this taxonomy term in English: “OFFICE.”
The same term is translated into Italian as: “UFFICIO.”

When I use the search form in the secondary language, it seems to search for the primary language term.
So instead of searching for “UFFICIO,” it searches for “OFFICE,” and, as expected, no results are found in the secondary language.

I’ve also tried to translate the form by changing the language using the flag icon on the top admin bar. But when I toggle from the primary to the secondary language (or vice versa), the selected terms reset automatically every time.

Is this the correct way to translate the form with WPML, or am I missing something?

      Thanks!

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You have to create a copy of the search form by clicking on the duplicate button then configure both of them individually for English and Italian languages and display them on the website based on the language selected.

      Best regards,
