Absolutely! I was going to leave a 5-star review but was distracted and forgot. Thanks again for everything. 🙂
Hi again! Thank you so much for the new CSS code. It worked perfectly. I really appreciate your help with this. And now that it is working, I don’t need to keep a search bar in my sidebar or footer. Also, I’m glad to hear that sorting results by type is an option with the pro version. It’s even more incentive to buy it. Have a lovely weekend!
Hi again 🙂 I updated and reactivated Ivory Search. I’m sorry but I’m still experiencing a couple of bugs:
1) If I add the code you provided above to Custom CSS to add the “x” to close the nav menu Ivory Search box, once I start typing in the search bar, it superimposes over my theme’s “x” instead of overwriting it, as seen in the attached screenshot.
2) If I don’t use the code, my theme’s “x” shows up but doesn’t work to close the search bar. However, it does work to close the search bar in my sidebar widget.
3) In Ivory Search Settings/ Menu Search, if I disable the Display search form close icon, it doesn’t save and always reverts back to that option being toggled, whether or not I have the custom CSS code you provided added.
4) With the sidebar widget, even if I remove the title “Ivory Search,” it still shows up.
I have a question: is there a way to give more weight to pages first and then posts in the search results? Is this a pro version setting or is it not available at all?

You must be logged in to view attached files.Hi again. I’ve had to disable Ivory Search. The “x” ended up superimposing on my theme’s “x” so I ended up with two “x” in the menu search although the sidebar and footer search wasn’t affected.
Also for some reason, some changes I’m making in settings are not sticking. For example, under password protected, I select “Search posts without passwords” and save but as soon as I have, it reverts back to “Search posts with or without passwords.” I’m going to have to find another way to add search to my menu. Thanks anyway. Have a lovely day.
Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. I really appreciate it and your solution is working! Two last questions:
1) Can I make the “x” smaller?
2) Is there a way for the Ivory Search “x” to overwrite my theme’s “x” so that they look the same whether in the search menu or in the sidebar or footer widget?I really do appreciate any help. 🙂
