Could you please tell me how you are displaying the menu on your website so I can help you to display the dropdown search?

Hi there – I’m displaying the menu on my website in a template part using the default blocks provided by WordPress out of the box. I’m using spectra one theme. See screen shot of template part page in the editor.
Also, I see that two search bars are displaying (see attachment). Is it because I have 2 search forms active (default and ajax)? It won’t let me delete the default one. Trying to figure out the source of the 2 search bars.

No
It won’t let me delete the default one. Trying to figure out the source of the 2 search bars.
You can remove the search bar displayed in the header by configuring the plugin settings as shown in the attached screenshot.

You have to use the “Navigation Menu” widget in the block editor as described below.
