After installing the Ivory Search plugin, you will get Ivory Search plugin options in the admin menu of your WordPress site as displayed below.
You can use these options to create and edit search forms that will control the search functionality of your site.
Create Search Form
To create new search forms you can either duplicate existing search forms or create new ones by clicking on Add New link/button.
Edit Search Form
To edit the search form, just click on the search form title.
Each search form contains sections ( Search, Exclude, Design, AJAX & Options ) as shown below that provide options to control the functionality of the search form.
Search Section
The Search section provides options to control exactly what content the search form should search.
Exclude Section
The Exclude section provides options to control what content the search form should not search or exclude from the search.
Design Section
The Design section provides Search Form Customizer to customize search form colors, text, and search form style.
You will get the below customizer options by clicking the Search Form Customizer link above.
AJAX Section
The AJAX section provides options to enable and control the AJAX functionality of the search form.
Options
The Options section provides options to control the overall functionality of the search form.
Ivory Search Settings
In the plugin settings page, you can configure settings that will affect all search forms and search functionality on the site, configure search analytics, control indexing, and manage search added in the site navigation menu.
The settings page is comprised of the following sections.
Menu Search
The Menu Search section provides options to customize the behavior of the search form added to the site navigation menu.
Analytics
The Analytics section provides an option to enable site search tracking in Google analytics.
Index
The Index section provides options to configure index settings and build an index from the site content.
Display Search Forms
You can display created search forms anywhere on the site as listed below.
