How can I hide the search button on the primary menu.

Yes, just remove it from the primary menu and use just a widget on another post.

I don’t see it on your website’s primary menu as shown in the attached screenshot.
Please advise.

I have disabled it for the whole site.

You can remove it from the menu by unchecking the boxes as described below.

Sorry, but that does not work.
I’ve tried it before.
Every time clicking save, it comes right back as enabled.

I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me.
It seems your website specific issue.
This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporarily deactivating all plugins except the Ivory Search plugin and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.
