I tested it on your website and counted the words using https://wordcounter.net/ which shows correctly for me as shown in the attached screenshots.
Could you please try lowering the number 10 and changing the option from Excerpt to Content?
Also, please count the words using https://wordcounter.net/

It seems the option is working and trimming the excerpt to 40 words.
Could you please try reducing the description length to 20 or 10?

It is an issue of your theme.
You can resolve this by adding the below CSS code in the Custom CSS option of Ivory Search plugin settings on the path Admin Area -> Ivory Search -> Settings -> Settings
