I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
Do you want to search the categories or just display the categories in the post meta in the AJAX search results?

Could you please share the page URL from your site where the search form is displaying so that I can troubleshoot it?

Can you check the browser JavaScript console for errors when you face this issue?
In Chrome go to “Tools -> Developer Tools” and in Firefox you can go to “Tools -> Web Developer -> Console”
Find information about how to open JavaScript browser console :

If you have added the search form in the menu then you can change the menu search form style as described below.

The search results page is displayed by the search.php file of the theme that you are using on your site so the plugin doesn’t control it but your site theme controls it.
You can change this by editing the code in the search.php file of your child theme by contacting the theme author or consider hiring a developer to develop it for you. You can hire a developer from any freelance site or WordPress agency.
You can also consider hiring us to develop it for you using the form https://ivorysearch.com/custom-work/

I have tested it on my website and saw the events created are not searchable.
Could you please contact the plugin support on the below page and ask them whether you can configure the plugin post type to be searchable?
